A collection is a series of designs that look cohesive together, they’re often shown in a fashion show on the runway or in a look book that a brand would use to distribute their styles to retailers. This week your challenge is to create a collection on Apliiq using your saved designs page. The collection should be designed for your target market – your classmates, and should relate to your school in some way. Here’s a few pro tips on making an awesome collection for your school:
1) Aim to have between 5 and 7 designs in your collection
2) Choose garments that are universally appealing to a wide audience (tees, tanks, sweatshirts, hats, maybe a jacket)
3) Use your school colors or symbols that relate to the school without using artwork you don’t have permission to re-sell, get creative and think of a symbol or phrase you can upload as artwork that will appeal to your classmates
4) Keep the pieces affordable, stick to one to three appliqués / patches and one piece of artwork max
Save each design to your profile page and when finished post the link in the Apliiq Campus Facebook page this week. Feel free to make this a team effort with the other students in your team on campus and let us know if you do. The best collection will be chosen by the Apliiq team and the designer will receive one of their designs. Next week we’ll run a back to school sale on your designs!
