USPS Announces Transportation Surcharge
USPS has announced a temporary transportation-related price change that will increase base postage prices by 8% on several domestic shipping services, including Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select.
According to USPS, the change is expected to take effect April 26, 2026, pending Postal Regulatory Commission review, and remain in place through January 17, 2027.

For Apliiq selling partners, this means now is the right time to review and update your shipping profiles within your online store.
Shipping rates that worked earlier this year may no longer fully cover your fulfillment costs once the USPS adjustment goes into effect. To avoid absorbing additional shipping expenses, we recommend updating your shipping settings before the new rates begin.
Shopify Sellers
If you use Shopify, Apliiq has a step-by-step guide to help you set up or update your domestic shipping rates for dropshipping:

Please review your Shopify shipping settings and make any necessary adjustments to account for the USPS surcharge.
Sellers Using Other Platforms
If you sell through another platform, such as Etsy, TikTok Shop, Amazon, WooCommerce, or your own ecommerce store, you will need to update your shipping profiles directly within that platform.
Each sales channel manages shipping settings differently, so please review your current rates and confirm they still cover your fulfillment and shipping costs after the USPS price change.
